The launch of the SpaceX’ Falcon 9 rocket inspired designers to think about what the means of transport will look like on planets colonised by humans. After all, transport will play a key role in the development of new communities there. A well-known designer Alex Baldini shared his vision of Martian trucks.

SpaceTruck – this is the name given to the new vehicle – was created for forwarding and transport companies, which may in the future provide cargo transportation on Mars. Its main task will be to transport heavy equipment and various materials.

The truck has a very futuristic look. On the whole surface of the tractor, the author placed the logos of the Tesla brand and SpaceX company owned by Elon Musk.

SpaceTruck differs little from the models available on Earth: it has 3 axles, a comfortable driver’s cab and a platform. Though the ultra-low suspension of the platform is surprising – most likely in the author’s vision there were already paved roads or even motorways on Mars.

Whether Tesla appreciates Alex’s work – we don’t know yet. Those who do not like the design claim that the streamlined SpaceTruck does not fit into the squared vision of Elon Musk.
