This agreement aims to expand OkCargo’s successful business model across the European Union. The company plans to partner with associations representing small and medium-sized transport firms in each EU country, similar to their existing collaboration with Fenadismer in Spain.
According to OkCargo CEO Carlos Cancela, the alliance will allow them to “work together to improve the profitability of [transport companies’] businesses, the work-life balance of their drivers and accelerate technological change in the transport sector at a European level.”
UETR President Julio Villaescusa highlighted the potential benefits for UETR members, stating the agreement “will allow them to rely on the technologies and tools already developed by OkCargo” for optimising transport operations. These tools include artificial intelligence algorithms for reducing empty trips and implementing electronic consignment notes (eCMR).
