Spanish logistics company expands fleet with 110 Volvo FH Aero trucks

Logista, a Spain-based logistics and distribution company, has added 110 Volvo FH Aero trucks to its fleet, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. The company stated that the new vehicles would improve its ability to meet market demands, particularly for long-haul and heavy-duty operations.

The Volvo FH Aero model features an aerodynamic design and advanced technology, including the Camera Monitor System (CMS), a camera-based mirror system intended to improve driver safety and comfort. The vehicle’s design is expected to optimise fuel consumption, contributing to lower carbon emissions.

The Volvo FH Aero was named ‘Truck of the Year’ at the 2025 National Transport Awards. Commenting on the addition to the fleet, Bosco Villallonga, general manager of El Mosca, a Logista company, said that the move aligns with Logista’s commitment to technological innovation and sustainability.

Logista is one of the top logistics operators in Europe, specialising in proximity distribution channels. The company regularly serves nearly 200,000 sales points across Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Poland, facilitating fast market access for a broad range of retail products, pharmaceuticals, electronic recharges, books, tobacco, lottery products, and other publications. Additionally, Logista operates Spain’s largest transportation network, certified for food safety.

The company employs more than 7,600 direct employees and works with numerous indirect collaborators, including Nacex franchisees, Logista Parcel delegates, and drivers. Logista emphasises local employment and aims to provide efficient, customer-focused service across its various operations and markets.
