Not only Amazon uses robots to service its warehouses. The Chinese Internet commerce giant Alibaba also uses machines to operate the intelligent warehouse in Huiyang, China. Robots mean that activities performed by people were reduced by 70 percent.
The machines can carry up to 500 kg of loads located on special trays. Thanks to them, the large warehouse is vibrant with life.
The robots are equipped with special sensors to avoid collisions. They can be controlled remotly using Wi-Fi.
When they run out of energy, they can drive to the charging station themselves. The five-minute connection supplies power for another 4-5 hours of work.
