The release date of Semi, Tesla’s electric truck, was planned for September this year. However, Elon Musk, president of the company, announced that the date will be postponed by a month.
According to his message on Twitter the electric Tesla tractor with semi-trailer will be released on October 26 in Hawthorne, California. In April this year the company president announced that the test ride will take place at the end of September. The date has, however, changed.

The beast shrouded in mystery

We still don’t know much about the Semi truck that Musk called a beast and unreal in his last message. So far, Tesla has published only one photo of the tractor.

Scott Perry, manager of a freight forwarding company Ryder from Florida, provided some information about the reach of the Tesla tractor. According to him Semi does not have any sleeping cabin but has an incredible range. With the battery fully charged Semi will be able to ride to the distance of 200-300 miles (320 to 480 km) with a load.

However, Tesla refused to comment on any information revealed by the manager. We will have to wait until October 26 for them to be confirmed.

When will Semi be launched?

According to Musk, the mass production of the electric truck will begin in 18 to 24 months. Semi will be launched on the mass market around 2019, unless there are any delays.
