The Wantijbrug Bridge, between the cities of Papendrecht and Dordrecht, in the province of South Holland, will be closed for heavy goods vehicles from 26 August. The reason for the traffic ban introduced is renovation.

Rijkswaterstaat (Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management in the Netherlands ) announced the closure of the Wantijbrug bridge for 2 months for heavy goods traffic. Vehicles with a GVW of over 3.5 tonnes will not be able to enter the bridge on the N3 road until October 28 this year, i.e. until the renovation works are completed.

However, from the end of October until mid-March 2020, trucks will only be allowed to drive in the right lane and will be prohibited from overtaking.
