The race begins in Florence, Italy, and ends in Monaco, with numerous stages passing through French territories. Here are the key road closures and restrictions for hauliers to note during the event.

The most important road closures and restrictions:

  • Stage 1: Florence to Rimini – June 29, 2024: the first stage runs entirely in Italy. Hauliers should check local Italian sources for potential disruptions.
  • Stage 2: Cesenatico to Bologna – June 30, 2024: this stage is also entirely in Italy. Local Italian road closures should be checked in advance.
  • Stage 3: Piacenza to Turin – July 1, 2024: the final Italian stage before the Tour enters France. Expect closures along the route in Italy.
  • Stage 4: Pinerolo (Italy) to Valloire (France) – July 2, 2024:
    – RN94 road closure: from the Italian border to Briançon, closed between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
    – truck ban: HGVs over 7.5 tonnes prohibited from midnight to 8:00 p.m.
    – Montgenèvre Pass: Closed for France-Italy connection.
  • Stage 5: St-Jean-de-Maurienne to Saint-Vulbas – July 3, 2024
    -RD35 and RD916: Closed from noon to 5:00 p.m. around Belmont-Tramonet.
