The Elbe tunnel on the A 7 motorway in Hamburg will be fully closed on the weekend of 18-20 September due to a software update of the tunnel’s computer system.
The full closure begins at 22:00 18 September (Friday) and lasts until 5:00 21 September (Monday). During this time, the A7 motorway towards Flensburg will be closed between Heimfeld and Volkspark junctions, and to the south between Volkspark and Hausbruch junctions.
Works in the tunnel, the office explains, take place at night and on weekends, because then the traffic is the least.
