Motorists using the A22 motorway in Trentino on Saturday afternoon were shocked to come across a truck travelling on the wrong side of the road. Fortunately, no accident occurred.
The situation was caught on film by a passenger in a pickup truck travelling in the same direction on the correct side of the road.
According Rai News, the lorry driver somehow pulled into the wrong side of the motorway accidentally after stopping at the Nogaredo West motorway service station north of Rovereto.
The trucker then travelled a distance of 13km down the motorway as multiple cars dodged his lorry and sounded their horns. Somewhat miraculously, no accident occured.
The truck was reportedly stopped by the motorway police at the Trient Süd motorway exit, putting the obviously dangerous situation to an end.
