A lorry driver who openly flaunted breaking drivers’ hours rules via the use of a 2nd tachograph card has been slammed online by fellow truckers and other social media users.
In a video uploaded yesterday, TikTok user leandrozaira appeared quite happy to broadcast to the world that he was switching tachograph cards. The clip was accompanied with an Italian-language caption that roughly translates as “when from Milan you regularly finish your driving hours in pizzo, but you have to return to Catania.”
The video could potentially have been a prank or a stunt (the trucker hasn’t come out to confirm the matter). It is also possible that he was simply about to change seats and have a second driver take over.
However, the short clip appeared to be promoting the illegal use of a 2nd tachograph card, and understandably has gone down very badly with a number of truck drivers.

One TikTok user commented “and so the world of transport has been ruined.” Another sarcastically replied “a nice example that you give”, while a number of comments also referred to the fact the driver had openly filmed himself making an illegal switch. In addition, TikTok user Queen of Hearts wrote “realise there are some things better to keep to yourself.”
Over on Facebook, the video was posted in the drivers group “Koleka Problem 2.0” under the caption “the fruit market doesn’t wait.” Here, the criticism was even more visible – at least until the admin started deleting all the comments with swear words, of which there were many. That said, going by the reactions to the post, most simply found it funny – the vast majority clicked the “laugh” emoji in response to the clip.
