An event to mark the official reopening of the venue took place earlier this week, with the Netherlands’ Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management in attendance alongside representatives from Dutch haulage association TLN.

As a result of the refit, the secure lorry parking facility has been extended to accommodate an additional 165 spaces for trucks. According to TLN, the total number of spaces at Truckstop Venlo is now 390.

Other additions at the truck stop are a new restaurant as well as new toilets and showers. The lorry park also has laundry facilities and free wi-fi.

According to TLN, Truckstop Venlo will be especially popular on Sundays and German public holidays due to its location on the Dutch-German border.

For the benefit of those who plan on stopping at Truckstop Venlo, on May 1st, the truck stop’s Facebook Page informed its followers that the layout has now changed. As a result, the entrance and exit points have been switched around.
