Tyrol: HGV winter driving ban in force from Saturday

The winter ban on heavy goods vehicles for 2024 will soon come into force on certain motorways in Tyrol, as determined and published by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology.

In accordance with the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology, new winter driving bans for HGVs will apply in Tyrol on Saturdays until the beginning of March on the Inntal motorway (A12) and the Brenner motorway (A13).

The winter driving ban comes into force on Saturday 13 January 2024 and applies to lorries or combinations of lorries with a maximum authorised weight of more than 7.5 tonnes travelling to or through Italy or to or through Germany.

The last Saturday on which driving bans apply is 9 March 2024. It lasts from 7 am to 3 pm.
