According to Roadpol, who wrote about the incident on social media, the truck and trailer was stopped by officers after it was spotted moving too slowly on A28 motorway.

The truck was ordered to pull over near Kampen, where inspectors had a look at the load among other things.

It turned out that the driver had been transporting 2 crane counterweights weighing 10 tons that were “so loosely fastened that they moved forward and damaged the trailer when the driver braked hard.”

The trailer was not allowed to move in its current condition, so a recovery company and a crane had to be organised in order to transfer the load and tow the trailer off.

The was driver was also sanctioned for failing to secure the load.
