Developed by Paul Nutzfahrzeuge and Pepper Motion in collaboration with Voith, the truck is based on a 16-tonne model from Daimler’s Atego range, offering optimum road performance and a range of 450km.
The Voith Electrical Drive System (VEDS), with 310 kW continuous power and 410 kW peak power, powers the truck using energy generated by a fuel cell.
This drive system is the first to meet all automotive functional safety requirements according to ISO 26262.
“Together with strong partners like Voith and Pepper Motion, we want to start a revolution in the hydrogen truck segment. By 2030, 45 per cent of trucks should be carbon neutral.
