After a week of protests against raising taxes on diesel oil in France, the fuel was scarce at the gas station yesterday. It was the result of blockades organized by the participants of the protest, who for the last few days occupied many roads across the country. On Saturday, „yellow vests” are planning a big manifestation in Paris.
In around 80 stations throughout France, there was a shortage of fuel yesterday or there was no fuel at all (as in the Gard et les Bouches-du-Rhône department) – reports FranceInfo, citing the monitoring website for gas stations mon-essence.fr
The authorities of the fuel-strapped cities and departments call for calm and ensure that fuel trucks are on their way and there is no cause for concern.
