A B&Q lorry sporting the company’s well-known “You can do it” slogan crashed into a low bridge yesterday, and many social media users were quick to pick up on the irony.

The accident, which occurred yesterday morning on the A41 at Blackthorn in Oxfordshire, was snapped up by Twitter user Rob Lawrence. Posting on his feed, Lawrence understandably captioned his photo “Positive thinking doesn’t always cut it.”

Another who photographed the accident was Damian Tarnowksi, who posted news of the bridge strike on the Thames Valley Incident Alert Facebook Group. Tarnowski warned that the A41 towards Aylesbury was gridlocked due as a result of the accident. Tarnowski added that the driver had tried to reverse out of the bridge to no avail.

According to the BBC, Thames Valley Police said the driver had been “reported” but would not give further details about the incident.

Meanwhile, if you thought the accident involving the above lorry was ironic, check out the video below.

The clip shows an accident that occured in South Africa back in 2018, when a truck with a trailer saying “regret nothing” spewed out crates and crates of beer.
