The start of the school year also marks the end of summer holiday truck bans in most countries. However, several European countries still enforce additional restrictions in September due to national holidays.
Slovakia: regulation change from 1 September
In previous years, 1 September – Constitution Day – meant a truck traffic ban in Slovakia. This year, however, the situation is different: the government in Bratislava has amended the rules and the holiday is no longer a non-working day. As a result, lorries may operate in Slovakia on 1 September without restrictions.
