Last week, 2 drivers were injured in an accident involving 3 trucks on the D5 motorway near Prague. According to one report, an ice hockey stream was spotted on the tablet owned by the trucker who caused the accident.

The official police report states that a lorry crashed into a line of two trucks in front of it in the right lane. Two of the truck drivers suffered injuries, the other was unharmed. The emergency services helped to provide medical assistance as well as help one of the lorry drivers safely get out of his cabin.

According to sources at Czech news website blesk.cz, the lorry driver who caused the crash had an ice hockey match streaming on his tablet at the time of the accident. It is thus alleged that this was the cause of the accident.

However, it must be stressed that the circumstances of the accident are still being investigated by highway police officers. The exact cause of the accident is therefore unknown at this point.
