According to the data, which comes from June 26th, 1,000 litres of fuel in Sweden cost €1,898.22, compared to €1,236.78 in Bulgaria. The difference between two works out at €661.44.239.
The same amount of diesel in Croatia and Slovenia is also more than €200 cheaper than in Italy.
While fuel prices may still be high, they have at least fallen somewhat in the last year. The European Commission’s report shows that average diesel prices in the EU27 have fallen by almost €500 per 1,000 litres since June 2022.
When it comes to petrol, Euro-super 95 unleaded was the most expensive in Denmark (€1,897 per 1,000 litres) and cheapest in Malta (€1,870.74 per 1,000 litres).
