As dashcam footage shared by ITV News on Friday has shown, the driver of the lorry was almost helpless and had to suddenly react after suffering a tyre blowout.

Following the sudden blowout, the lorry veered right before toppling over and crashing onto the central reservation barrier, an impact that then caused two Teslas to fall off the car transporter.

Photos shared last week by Fleet Fire Station show a scene of absolute carnage, with debris scattered across the motorway.

“We’re sure many of you were stuck on the M3 today. Just before 1400, along with Hartley Wintney Fire Station and Rushmoor Fire Station, we attended a complex incident involving a jackknifed HGV carrying several Teslas. The HGV transporter was travelling north, slid across and through the central reservation barrier, catapulting 2 Teslas into south bound traffic, one Tesla under another HGV. Luckily there were only minor injuries from the 3 drivers involved. Very lucky for all involved,” said Fleet Fire Station, commenting on accident last week.

Mendaciously, nobody was seriously injured.

According to ITV News, a full southbound closure between J5 (Hook) and J4A (Farnborough) along the M3 had to be imposed to allow emergency services to clear the road.
