The Spanish transport company announced on Monday that it was adding 90 IVECO trucks to its fleet.

The IVECO S-WAY tractor has a new 530 hp engine that raises the performance bar and reduces fuel consumption. Together with the new-generation rear axle, it improves engine performance thanks to a higher compression ratio, aerodynamics achieved with the highly efficient A-pillar cover and the new “eco mode” function of the automatic air conditioning, the company say.

The Euro VI diesel engine is suitable for all applications and offers class-leading performance. The Cursor EVI diesel engine family is fully compatible with second generation HVO / XTL biofuels (EN 15940).

“Carreras shares Iveco’s commitment to sustainability. Iveco and Motortrans are moving towards decarbonisation and are already approaching the 2025 targets by introducing product features that reduce their CO2 emissions,” the company adds.

When it comes to sustainability, Carreras Grupo Logístico highlights its contribution to innovation in the transport and logistics sector, with the use of biofuels, the inauguration of a hydrogen production centre at its Masquefa (Barcelona) branch, and efficiency and safety projects for its drivers.

The logistics company, which is a member of the Lean & Green collaborative platform, has also achieved its second Lean & Green star for reducing emissions from its logistics and transport activities through its Carreras 0.0 project, and is already working towards its third star.
