Former Ceva Logistics CEO Xavier Urbain appointed to Maersk board

Shipping giant A.P. Møller-Mærsk has announced the nomination of former Ceva Logistics CEO, Xavier Urbain, to its Board of Directors for the 2025-2027 election period.

Urbain served as Group Chief Executive Officer of Ceva Logistics from January 2014 to May 2019. He has held leadership positions in various global logistics companies, including Kuehne & Nagel and Hays PLC, where he was a member of the Executive Board and Board of Directors.

Additionally, he has served as CEO of Hays Logistics and ACR. His board experience includes roles as Chairman of the Board at Socotec and Netherlands-based Caldic B.V.

Urbain holds a diploma in business and finance from ESLSCA Business School in Paris. His background includes experience in supply chain management, contract logistics, and distribution across both listed industry companies and private equity-backed enterprises.

Maersk has not provided additional comments on Urbain’s specific role within the board. His nomination is subject to approval by the company’s shareholders.
