Denmark: 738 charges placed against haulage company and two drivers

Police in the Danish region of Southeast Jutland have filed 738 charges against a road transport firm from Funen along with two of its drivers. Among other things, the charges relate to drivers’ hours rules violations and the misuse of driver’s licences.

According to lastbilmagasinet.dk, the haulage company has been subject to an investigation by the police for some time.

The lengthy investigation has eventually led to as many as 738 charges, four people have been charged in total, including the owner of the haulage firm and two lorry drivers.

The company itself has been accused of 224 offenses, while its owner has been charged with 286 offenses.

The fate of all those charged will be decided during a court case held in the city of Odense.
