From 1 October 2025, Maciej Walenda will assume the role of CEO of DSV’s contract logistics division. He succeeds Albert-Derk Bruin, who is leaving the company after 15 years to pursue new opportunities outside the group. Walenda will also join the Group Executive Committee.

Walenda has been with DSV since 2013, holding a number of leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Regional CEO for the European contract logistics business. Earlier positions included Managing Director of DSV Poland and Executive Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe.

Continuing the integration strategy

“I am delighted to take on this role at a time when we are consolidating locations and welcoming thousands of new colleagues worldwide,” Walenda said in DSV’s official announcement. “Our goal is to further expand and strengthen the global network.”

Brian Ejsing, Group COO at DSV, also expressed confidence in the appointment:

“We are confident in Maciej’s ability to lead the division into a successful future. His experience and instinct for team leadership under challenging market conditions speak for themselves.”

The change in leadership represents both a new beginning and a continuation of DSV’s growth strategy in contract logistics. By appointing Walenda, DSV has chosen an experienced manager from within its own ranks — one who knows the business well and now carries the responsibility for further strengthening the group’s global logistics network.
