The week-long action will be the second ROADPOL Operation Speed held this year. The first campaign took place from 13 to 19 April.
Police forces in countries participating in ROADPOL activities are expected to carry out increased roadside checks and speed measurements throughout the August operation.
The campaign will focus on identifying and stopping drivers who breach speed limits, with enforcement taking place across a number of European states.
No separate Speed Marathon announced
Unlike the April campaign, the August schedule does not include a dedicated 24-hour enforcement action.
A Speed Marathon was held on 15 April as part of the first Operation Speed of 2026, with checks conducted over a continuous 24-hour period.
ROADPOL’s official plan for August lists only the broader campaign running from 3 to 9 August 2026 and does not specify a separate date for another round-the-clock operation.
Drivers travelling across Europe during the first full week of August should therefore expect increased speed checks on roads.
