Felixstowe Dock Stop Cafe to close on Christmas Eve after 28 years

Dock Stop Cafe, which is just a 3-minute-drive from the Port of Felixstowe, has to close down this Christmas because the owners of the land are redeveloping the site, the cafe announced on Facebook.

Lorry drivers are sad about the news:

“Absolute disgrace closing it down. Been using it for over 30 yrs now so am gonna miss it. Best of luck to Mike and Gary for the future!”, commented a regular guest.

According to the East Anglian Daily Times, owner Gary Brown is looking for a new place to restart the business.

However, with the surging estate prices in the UK, the hunt won’t be easy. Things are also complicated by the obvious fact that Brown needs to find a place where HGVs can park.

If anyone is aware of a good place where the cafe owners could set up shop, please reach out to them via Facebook.
