The Bulgarian Road and Motorway Manager has provided carriers and drivers with a free tool to calculate the cost of road travel. This tool is very useful because Bulgarians make changes to the charges for the use of paid road sections.
The tool can be used by all owners of means of transport with GVW over 3.5 tons. The calculator allows for a detailed check of the cost of the journey through Bulgaria, broken down into individual sections. Previously the tool was tested in four agglomerations – Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna and Ruse.

Bulgarian toll road calculator
It is necessary to provide data about the vehicle, the date, the start time of the journey, as well as the beginning and end of the journey and intermediate locations in the calculator, informs the local road infrastructure agency.
The Bulgarian Toll system covers 6,000 kilometres of the 20,000 km of the national road network. From March 1, 2020, the truck and bus drivers will have to pay for the individual sections and not, as before, for the time of the journey, which required the purchase of electronic vignettes.
