Logistic Investment Kft announced at a press conference that the new safe HGV park will be located at the 112th kilometre of the M1 motorway, which connects Austria to Budapest and is one of the busiest international transit routes in Hungary.

The facility, located near Győrszentiván, will be equipped with a modern security system and will be accessible from both directions on the motorway.

The construction of the lorry park, which will have room for 260 lorries and a rest area, will cost nearly 10 million euros. Half of this amount will be covered by the European Union.

In addition to parking spaces, the lorry park will provide additional services for drivers, such as a fuel station, restaurant, driver accommodation, garage, and lorry wash.

Construction is expected to begin in the second half of the year, and the project is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2025.

The lorry park is said to support the flow of approximately thirty thousand HGVs per day and 10 million lorries per year.
