On 10-14th of May 2017 periodic border inspection for national, EU and non-EU citizens in Portugal. The reason is the visit of Pope Francis in Fatima.
The inspections will be carried out from May 10 at midnight until May 14 at midnight.
A road border crossing has been designated for this period:
- Valença – Viana do Caste
- Vila Verde da Raia – Chaves
- Quintanilha – Bragança
- Vilar Formoso – Guarda
- Monfortinho – Castelo Branco
- Marvão – Portalegre
- Caia – Elvas
- Vila Verde de Ficalho – Beja
- Vila Real de Santo António
Delays in traffic are foreseen for the above border points.
