The Poland-based parcel locker provider InPost Group has announced plans to invest nearly £600 million in its UK operations through 2029, bringing its total UK investment to £1 billion. The company aims to expand its parcel locker network, enhance logistics facilities, and create up to 12,000 jobs over the next five years.

By the end of 2024, InPost’s UK investments totalled £426 million. The company has seen significant growth in the region, delivering 93.2 million parcels in 2024—double the volume of 2023. Its UK network is currently operating beyond capacity, highlighting the need for further expansion. In 2025, InPost plans to increase the number of Automated Parcel Machine (APM) locker sites by more than 50% and add up to 5,000 new units.

Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost, emphasized the importance of the UK market in a statement:

“This is already our fastest-growing market, and in response to ever-increasing consumer expectations, we are creating cutting-edge, efficient, and user-friendly delivery solutions.”

In 2024, InPost solidified its position in the UK by acquiring full control of Menzies Distribution Limited, which has allowed the company to manage its logistics processes more effectively. The company currently employs 2,519 people in the UK and intends to significantly increase staffing levels as part of its expansion strategy.

InPost’s UK network comprises over 13,000 out-of-home (OOH) delivery points, including more than 9,200 APM units. Across Europe, InPost operates over 82,000 OOH points, serving nine countries. The company also launched international parcel services in 2024, connecting eight markets, with plans to expand the service to the UK.

In addition to its growth strategy, InPost has a focus on sustainability. The company’s Decarbonisation Strategy includes a commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. InPost reports that locker deliveries emit 74% less carbon than home deliveries in the last-mile stage, contributing to a 65% reduction in overall emissions.

Today, Brzoska is set to meet UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in Warsaw at a reception for Polish businesses investing in the UK.

Founded in Poland, InPost currently collaborates with approximately 100,000 retailers and handles nearly 1.1 billion shipments in 2024.
