Kinaxia Logistics investing £2.7m in 2025 warehouse network

Kinaxia Logistics has outlined its strategic plans for 2025, including key leadership appointments and investment in critical areas of the business.

The company has appointed Gareth Jenkins as its new executive chairman. Jenkins, who has experience in manufacturing and retail, succeeds Graham Norfolk. He will oversee the implementation of Kinaxia’s medium- and long-term strategies.

Allan Blakeley, with over 30 years of experience in UK and European logistics, has joined as chief operating officer. His focus will be on improving operational efficiencies and ensuring high-quality service delivery for customers.

Simon Nelson, formerly the chief operating officer, has been named managing director of contract logistics. In this role, he will concentrate on expanding Kinaxia’s customer base and contract logistics services.

Kinaxia’s 2025 investment programme aims to drive transformation in four key areas:

  • Technology: Enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving customer experience through asset optimisation and advanced data analytics.
  • Service improvement: Leveraging artificial intelligence and business information to deliver tailored logistics services and data-driven decision-making.
  • Recruitment: Improving recruitment, skills training, and employee retention to strengthen the talent pool and service quality.
  • Sustainability: Decarbonising supply chains and reducing the company’s carbon footprint.

Gareth Jenkins stated that the investments will help create a “robust platform for long-term, sustainable growth” and highlighted the importance of operational efficiency, technology, and sustainability in achieving the company’s goals. He also expressed confidence in the team’s commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
