Bulgarian-based euShipments Group has announced the acquisition of Helpship, a Romanian fulfilment operator, in a move that bolsters its presence in Romania and improves its services for the Central European market.
Helpship becomes the second company to join the euShipments.com group, following their recent partnership with the capital investment fund BlackPeak Capital.
With over a decade of experience in developing their fulfilment and international delivery network across the European Union and Great Britain, euShipments Group recognizes the importance of the Romanian market due to its strategic location and the significant growth of online sales in recent years, the company’s press release adds.
This acquisition is a key part of euShipments Group’s broader mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy, aimed at expanding their business internationally and establishing leading positions in crucial markets within the Central and Eastern Europe region.
The company aims to provide “exceptional” logistics, fulfilment, and international delivery services to both prominent e-commerce players within the region and beyond. Their earlier acquisition of a majority stake in Pick&Pack, the leading online trade delivery provider in Croatia, further demonstrates their commitment to this strategy.
Founded in 2019 by Stefan Popa and Joseph Cheska, Helpship emerged from the realization of the demand for fulfilment services based on their own online store. Located in Oradea, Romania, Helpship’s fulfilment warehouse strategically sits near the Romanian-Hungarian border, providing excellent connectivity to major highways.
As of 2023, the company processes a volume of over 80,000 online orders per month.
