The toy company Mattel launched a series of mini key worker figures. In addition to doctors and nurses, a courier was among the honoured professions.
The mini people are to express gratitude to employees who, despite difficult conditions and dangers, perform their duties during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this way, Mattel praises doctors, nurses, emergency workers and drivers. The company believes that representatives of these professions can be a role model for children. The toys are available in different versions regarding gender and skin tone. The courier, like other professions, is produced in four variants.
Sale of figures started on 29 April and will last until 31 May. Part of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to a fund providing resources and security equipment for professionals in the front line of the fight against the virus.
