The service aims to provide a more cost-effective and efficient option for businesses transporting less-than-container loads (LCL) between the UK and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which include Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
The route will operate from London Gateway Port to Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, utilizing Europa’s own consolidation containers to ensure seamless movement of goods. Customs clearance support will be available at both origin and destination points, facilitated by Europa teams in Dubai and the UK.
“This scheduled and secure service is designed to better connect manufacturers, distributors, and retailers exporting and importing within the GCC to their UK markets,” said Nathan Lynn, General Manager for Europa Air & Sea in UAE and India.
Europa highlights several key areas it believes are crucial for smooth freight movement: customer service, customs solutions, IT investment, transit times, and competitive pricing. The company claims its new service addresses these areas by offering features in-house customer service and customs support teams at both ends of the journey and real-time cargo tracking via Europa’s LeoWeb platform.
This new service is part of a series of recent investments by Europa Air & Sea. These include the development of LeoWeb and expansion into new markets like India and China.
“Despite challenging market conditions, Europa continues to innovate and adapt,” said Angus Hind, Director of Europa Air & Sea. “This weekly consolidated service will offer manufacturers, distributors, and retailers greater accessibility into new markets, supported by the expertise of our UK and UAE teams.”
