New entity will be a comprehensive full-service logistics provider, says Pall-Ex.

Palletised freight distribution network Pall-Ex Group has announced the launch of Pall-Ex Logistics.

In a press release, Pall-Ex states that the new “entity integrates several previously independent operations to create a comprehensive full-service logistics provider, offering a full spectrum of services to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.”

The move will see Pall-Ex Group’s five-owned operation sites in Northampton, Essex, Dorset, Devon & Cornwall and Surrey, along with the recently launched 3PL division, combine under the Pall-Ex Logistics brand.

As a result of the launch of Pall-Ex Logistics, the aforementioned sites will conduct activities beyond their pallet network responsibilities. Among other things, these include bonded warehousing, long-term and short-term storage, general haulage and container decanting.

Pall-Ex Logistics has also announced it has joined forces with a collection of Pall-Ex’s UK shareholder members to create a nationwide warehouse and fulfilment network.

Collectively, Pall-Ex says the network can store over 300,000 pallets across multiple UK locations.

Commenting on the announcement, Colin Hawkins, Director of UK Owned Operations for Pall-Ex, said:

“We’re excited to elevate our owned operations to the next level and provide a full-service solution to our customers. The core of Pall-Ex Logistics lies in its state-of-the-art storage facilities, its flagship warehouse boasts an area of 75,000 square feet and capacity for 7,000 pallets. Pall-Ex Group’s investment in its infrastructure signifies its commitment to scaling new heights in logistics excellence.”

Barry Byers, MD of UK Business Units at Pall-Ex, added:

“We are continually looking at ways to improve our service offering. Pall-Ex Logistics gives us the ability to provide a full-scale logistics solution to SMEs throughout the country. Supported by our market-leading IT and two-hour ETA window, we look forward to supporting more businesses with a complete freight solution.”
