RTS Transport Service GmbH, a leading provider of national and international transport services based in Dassendorf (Schleswig-Holstein), is modernising its fleet with 100 new IVECO S-WAY swap-body chassis. According to the company, this investment is part of its annual fleet refresh and expands the capacity of the company, which already has over 350 vehicles in operation.

The new 26-ton chassis feature a steered trailing axle and a 500 hp Cursor 13 engine compliant with the Euro VI E standard, delivering a maximum torque of 2,600 Nm at just 843 rpm.

The equipment was specifically adapted to RTS’s requirements. This includes the comfortable Active Space cab, Hi-Comfort seats with lumbar support and a three-stage cooling and heating function, as well as modern safety features and a more powerful engine brake.

The vehicles are used throughout Germany for parcel, groupage, and beverage transport. In addition to improved driver comfort and increased safety, they offer optimised fuel efficiency. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and HVO compatibility, fuel consumption can be reduced by up to 10 percent and CO₂ emissions by up to 90 percent.

Whether this is the largest single order for IVECO has not been officially confirmed. However, the order underscores the long-standing partnership between RTS and IVECO, which has existed for over 10 years.
