Scania has announced the launch of its Complete Fleet concept, a new initiative aimed at integrating diverse and mixed-brand fleets into its comprehensive digital services. This service enables hauliers to connect not only their Scania vehicles but also those from other manufacturers, along with their entire trailer inventory.
The Complete Fleet concept offers access to a range of Scania’s digital services, including positioning, tachograph, performance reports, and service planning. The new approach is designed to support multiple types of fuel systems, such as gas, biofuel, battery-electric vehicles, combustion engines, and plug-in electric hybrids.
With this initiative, transport company owners are set to gain improved visibility, control, and energy efficiency across their entire fleet, regardless of vehicle brand. The concept reflects Scania’s recognition that many of its customers operate mixed fleets and require comprehensive management solutions.
One significant challenge addressed by the Complete Fleet concept is the management of older trailers, which often remain in fleets longer than trucks and typically lack connectivity. Until now, many transport companies had to retrofit their vehicles and trailers with various telematics systems, a practice that has proved both costly and inefficient.
By simplifying the process of integrating mixed fleets into Scania’s digital ecosystem, Complete Fleet offers a more effective and streamlined solution for fleet owners. The onboarding process can be completed through Scania’s My Scania platform, leveraging existing data-sharing agreements.
