Danish policemen stopped a truck driver from Poland for a check. Officers found the tachograph manipulated, but could not find the magnet anywhere. The man hid it in a surprising place.
Last Monday, during a routine inspection on the E-20 motorway near Køge Bugt in Denmark, police officers found out that the tachograph had been manipulated in a truck driven by a Polish driver. It turned out that the 48-year-old used a magnet to manipulate the recording equipment. However, officers could not find the magnet anywhere.
It turned out that the driver had put a magnet in his panties so that the officers would not find it,” the police revealed in a press release.
The officers determined that the Pole used the magnet three times. The trucker was fined for this DKK 94,000 (more than 12 000 euros). The man pleaded guilty and, according to the Danish police, the fine was paid on the same day.
In addition, a procedure will be initiated against the trucker which may lead to a ban on driving in Denmark. The decision on this case is to be made by the court in February next year.
