Spanish fuel stations are gradually returning to normal operation [MAP]

You can read this article in 2 minutes

In mid-April, the Ministry of Ecological Change and Demographic Challenges, due to the coronavirus pandemic and reduced demand for fuel, allowed for a temporary closure of almost half of the petrol stations. In Spain, another regulation has already entered into force, which adapts the work schedules of the country’s petrol stations to the new phase of unfreezing the economy.

On 13th April, the Spanish government approved a regulation put forward by the Ministry for Ecological Change and Demographic Challenges (Miteco). The regulation allowed for the temporary closure of 49% of petrol stations due to a drop in demand during the state of emergency.

Now Miteco has issued a new regulation which gradually restores the operation of the country’s petrol stations to the state before the epidemic.

The opening hours, locations and services of all petrol stations are updated on the GeoportalGasolineras.es website provided by Miteco.
