Long Lane Deliveries, a family business established in 2002, has been a partner of Langdons for many years. Specialising in the transport of chilled, frozen and ambient food, the company operates from two sites in Bellshill, near Glasgow, and Dundee. It employs 330 people and operates a fleet of 140 vehicles, serving customers throughout Scotland and the UK.
Temperature-controlled food transport company Langdons has been part of the STEF Group since 2022. The company employs 1,400 people and operates a fleet of 750 vehicles across eight sites, including one in Scotland and seven in England.
With the acquisition of Long Lane Deliveries, Langdons aims to expand its service offerings and strengthen its logistical capabilities in Scotland.

This acquisition is not the first for the STEF Group within the past year. In late October 2023, the company acquired Bakker Logistiek, a prominent Dutch transport and logistics company specialising in food products. The acquisition aimed to bolster STEF Group’s presence in the Netherlands, expanding its territorial coverage and enhancing its services for food manufacturers and retailers across Northern Europe.
