Stobart Europe acquires German automotive logistics firm

British haulier Stobart Europe, now a subsidiary of Culina Group, has reportedly acquired the German automotive logistics provider Suloja Autotransporte GmbH.

Suloja Autotransporte, a medium-sized company based in Mönchengladbach, Germany, has more than 25 years of experience in the industry. The company offers various automotive logistics solutions, including vehicle distribution, inventory management and inbound and outbound transport. In 2023, Suloja Autotransporte generated a turnover of €6.8 million (£5.8 million) and transported over 35,000 vehicles throughout Germany.

Stobart Europe believes Suloja Autotransporte’s expertise and resources will add value to its portfolio. The combined entity will offer a wider range of services to its automotive clientele and create a more efficient transportation network throughout Europe. Stobart Europe also anticipates the acquisition will open new market opportunities in Germany and beyond.

For Suloja Autotransporte, the acquisition brings the benefits of group ownership, including access to investment and the potential for job retention. The company is also expected to gain from Stobart Europe’s established reputation and extensive network.
