Key points
- Culina announced the rebrand on 13 October 2026.
- The ten brands moving to the Culina name are Culina Logistics, IPS, Stobart, Great Bear, Fowler Welch, Warrens, CML, Stobart Europe, IRF and iForce.
- Stobart EU Automotive, The Pallet Network and Eventor keep their own names.
- The change will happen in stages, with no end date given.
- The group employs about 15,000 people.
One name, five divisions
According to Culina, the group and its subsidiaries will now operate under one identity and five divisions:
- Chilled & Fresh Logistics,
- Contract Logistics,
- Transport Logistics,
- Integrated Packing Services,
- International Logistics.
“This is a landmark moment for Culina and a defining milestone in our journey as a business,” said CEO Liam McElroy. He added that the single identity “better reflects who we are and what we can deliver”.
Culina describes itself as the UK’s largest privately owned logistics and supply chain partner. The new mission is: “Working as one, we help our customers grow by keeping supply chains moving.”
Which names stay
Not every Stobart truck will change. Stobart EU Automotive keeps its name, along with pallet network The Pallet Network and events logistics company Eventor.
For Stobart Europe, which runs international road freight to and from the continent, the change means the Stobart name will gradually go from its trucks and trailers on European roads.
From Cumbrian haulier to Müller-owned group
Eddie Stobart Ltd was set up in 1970 in Cumbria and became famous in the UK for its green, red and white trucks, each given a female name. The brand had its own fan club and a TV series.
In 2021, Culina Group, part of the Müller group, acquired Eddie Stobart by buying its owner GreenWhiteStar. That created an FMCG logistics business worth about £2.2bn. The deal also brought iForce and The Pallet Network into the group.
In February 2025, Culina appointed Liam McElroy as CEO, with former Kuehne + Nagel manager Fabian Koehler as Deputy Group CEO. The rebrand is the most visible step yet in bringing the companies together.
Earlier this year, Eddie Stobart was also in the news when a planned strike by Morrisons HGV drivers ended after an agency labour deal.
Not the end of the Stobart family in logistics
The Stobart name will not disappear from UK logistics completely. William Stobart, Eddie’s brother, leads WS Holdco, which in May 2026 bought Walkers Transport Holdings and Madex Logistics. That business is separate from Culina.
What it means for customers and subcontractors
For shippers, carriers and subcontractors working with the group, little should change day to day. Contracts, routes and depots stay in place. However, as the Culina name replaces the old brands, drivers, gatehouse staff and customers will have to get used to a new livery at yards and on roads across the UK and Europe.
For many people in the industry, though, it is the end of an era. “Stobart spotting” was a hobby for generations of British drivers, and each disappearing green truck marks the end of a brand that became a symbol of UK road haulage.
