Posten Bring (formerly Posten Norge) now has 5,000 SwipBox Infinity parcel lockers accessible to its customers in Norway. According to Swipbox, the 5,000 lockers were all installed in the last 3 years.
Posten Bring started an Infinity locker pilot in January 2020 before commencing their nationwide rollout in January 2021. In the past year alone, Swipbox says several million parcels have passed through the lockers installed in 1,750 locations throughout Norway (some of which have more than one locker).
Commenting on the milestone, Håvard Femtehjell, Head of PUDO Services and Parcel Locker Network at Posten Bring, said:
“We want to give every Norwegian the option to pick up their parcels in a parcel locker. The fact that the locker is so quick to install means we can easily scale our network to meet customer needs. This has been instrumental in our fast nationwide rollout. With its accessible outdoor design, hassle-free apps and fast installation, the Infinity solution supports this vision.”
In the announcement concerning the milestone, Swipbox also touched on the rather novel way Posten Bring identifies its parcel lockers. As explained by Swipbox, Posten Bring has attributed names to the lockers. For example, Clarissa, Maribeth, Roy-Ole and Tor-Inge had the highest parcel volumes last Christmas.
Finally, an option also allows wheelchair users to access parcels from a locker position that easily within reach.
