A huge blade of a wind turbine was transported this week by a so-called blade-lifter. This is the first time that this solution has been used in Spain for special transport.
The Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Norvento is using a blade-lifter for the construction of a new wind farm in Lugo, in the north-west of the country. Blade-lifter is an innovative solution, which until recently allowed the transport of 60-meter blades of propellers. At present, it can be used to transport 80-metre-long components.
