Another toll increase in 2 Belgian regions to begin next month

Toll rates in two Belgian regions, Flanders and Brussels, will increase again. As every year, this will happen in the summer—on 1 July—when the customary indexation of fares based on the inflation index is introduced.

We would like to remind you that the toll rates apply to all heavy goods vehicles, both Belgian and foreign, with a maximum permissible weight of over 3.5 tonnes, and vehicles towing a semi-trailer of category N1 with body code PNE. The software of the activated OBUs (On-Board Units) of the six service providers accredited for toll collection in Belgium (Axxès, Satellic, Telepass, Toll4Europe, TotalEnergies Marketing Services, and WAG Payment Solutions) will be automatically updated to reflect the new tariffs.

The preferential rate of zero cents/km currently granted to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) on the entire road network in Flanders will also apply in the Brussels Capital Region. However, the on-board device remains mandatory for ZEVs. In Wallonia, ZEVs will continue to be classified in the Euro VI emission category.

Significantly, from 1 July in Wallonia, the Tubize section of the N246 road will no longer be subject to heavy vehicle tolls.
