The underlying tariffs will be adjusted upwards by 2.6% for inflation, according to the official Dutch truck-toll authority. However, the amounts operators actually pay will rise by more than 30% between December and January.
This is because the Netherlands is applying a temporary 22.3% reduction from 1 September to 31 December 2026, introduced in response to higher fuel costs linked to the conflict in the Middle East.
For a Euro 6 diesel truck with a technical maximum mass above 32 tonnes, the rate will rise:
- from €0.156/km in September–December 2026;
- to €0.206/km from 1 January 2027.
That represents an overnight increase of approximately 32%. For a vehicle covering 10,000 tolled kilometres, the charge would increase from €1,560 to €2,060—a difference of €500.
An electric truck in the same weight category will move from €0.030/km to €0.040/km.
The rates depend on the vehicle’s technical maximum mass, CO₂-emission class and, for vehicles in CO₂ class 1, Euro emission standard. Operators can find the complete tables on the authority’s tariff page.
The 2027 amounts remain provisional. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management is expected to formally publish them in the Staatscourant in September.
