On June 20, Corpus Christi is celebrated in some countries of the European Union. In connection with the feast, there are bans for trucks in some countries, even the day before.
We also remind you that in the coming days Croatia and Slovenia celebrate state holidays.
Prohibitions shall apply on the following dates:
19 June (the day before Corpus Christi):
– Croatia – from 15 to 23. The prohibition applies to heavy goods vehicles and trucks with a DMC of over 7.5 tons and trucks and vehicles with trailers exceeding 14 m in length. The restriction covers only certain road sections. Details can be found in our article on this topic.
– Luxembourg – from 23:30 to 24 in the direction of Germany. The limitation applies to trucks whose DMC with or without a trailer exceeds 7.5 tonnes.
20 June, Corpus Christi:
– Austria – from 0:00 to 22. The restriction includes tractors with trailers with a tractor or trailer DMC above 3.5 t, lorries, articulated vehicles with a DMC exceeding 7.5 tons,
– Croatia – from 14 to 23 (only on specific routes),
– Luxembourg – from 0:00 to 21:45 in the direction of Germany,
– Germany – from 0:00 to 22. The ban only applies to the following Länder: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hessen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. Roads with DMC above 7.5 tons and trucks with trailers will not be able to move on those roads at that time,
– Poland – from 8 to 22. The ban covers heavy goods vehicles with a DMC of over 12 tonnes. However, they do not apply to trucks returning from abroad,
– Italy – from 0:00 to 22 on the Brenner motorway. The ban covers trucks with a DMC of 7.5 tonnes.
21 June:
– Croatia – the day before the public holiday – from 15 to 23 (the ban applies on certain routes).
22 June:
– Croatia – Antifascist fight day – from 14 to 23 (only on certain sections).
24 of June:
– Croatia – the day before the public holiday – from 15 to 23 (only on certain sections).
25 June:
– Croatia – national holiday of Croatia – from 14 to 23,
– Slovenia – Independence Day – from 8 to 21. The prohibition applies to trucks and vehicle combinations with a maximum permissible weight of 7.5 t and applies only to certain sections.
