A renovated bridge on one of the important routes in Spain will soon be opened.

The Spanish Ministry of Transport carried out a stress test on the Fernando Reig bridge in the Spanish city of Alcoy (province of Alicante) on the important national road N-340 last Wednesday. The facility is located halfway (exactly at 794 km) of the route leading from Barcelona to Cadiz.

Twenty-eight 40-ton trucks were used for testing that lasted all day. The tests went well, and the bridge after the renovation that started last summer will be opened later this month. After opening the Puente Fernando Reig you will be able to drive through the city much faster.

There is a lack of parking spaces in Hesse. Local authorities promise investments

The Hessian Union of Logistics and Freight Transport complains about the lack of parking spaces in the German Land. Every day, one thousand kilometers of motorways in this region are used by thousands of trucks. Many drivers have problems finding a place to take a break.

According to the estimates of the organization, there is a lack of at least 2.5 thousand parking spaces in the land. Tarek Al-Wazir, the Minister of Transport of Hesse, emphasizes that in recent years the number of parking lots in the region has increased and announces that by 2021 the government will invest 126 billion in the expansion of facilities.

Transport companies from Aragón have an idea for the lack of drivers

Most European countries are struggling with the lack of staff in the transport industry. Spanish carriers are also suffering from this and are looking for solutions that will attract candidates.

Through the government employment agency in the Spanish Autonomous Community of Aragon (INAEM), carriers are looking for truck drivers.

Here is what makes the Aragonian carriers unique: driving licence for trucks is not required. The only condition that must be met is consent to enter into a contract with an employer and carry out international transport for it. In return, the company will bear the costs of acquiring the right qualifications. The candidate will only have to pay for the exams (about 100 euros).
