A Norwegian carrier has had two trucks confiscated after it was caught operating without a valid licence for the 3rd occasion.

According to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, the carrier was caught using the license of another company, a forged licence and even no license at all.

The first incident happened at the end of January. Norwegian police officers checked a Volvo 540 and found the transportation license the carrier was using actually belonged to a firm that had already gone bankrupt.

Soon, another vehicle, a Renault, was also stopped. Again, this lorry used the licence of another company without being allowed to do so. When the vehicle was next stopped, the police found the driver of the truck to be in possession of a forged licence.

The police confiscated the vehicle’s plates, so the Renault will not be seeing much action anytime soon.

The dodgy carrier’s illegal actions didn’t end there though. After another police check, the driver was unable to present any licence at all. Officers confiscated the truck for two weeks due to a breach of the Commercial Transportation Act.

According to Norwegian transportation portal tungt.no, the vehicles were rented by an importer and were driven by the employees of a large freight forwarder.
