A Spanish driver working in Italy was stopped by police after he had dodged paying road tolls. He ended up being fined as much as €10,000, but is set to face more punishment after also being found guilty of violating drivers' hours rules and flouting a truck ban.

The Spanish driver’s lorry was stopped on the A28 motorway after being reported for failing to pay road tolls. The fine for this particular offence was €10,000.

However, this wasn’t the end of the story. When the officers checked the driver’s tachograph, the data revealed that he had committed several drivers' hours' and truck ban offences as well.

As a result, the driver was reported to the court, his license was revoked and his lorry was confiscated.
